Our Bucket List

When we were picking names for Beckett we wanted to avoid names that rhymed with anything bad. This is why we did not pick Chucker, even thought Chucker Baird really has a nice ring to it. We did realize that Becker the Fecker was a possibility, but since we don't live in England, we thought this might not be such a big problem. When I told me yoga class I was also concerned about Beckett being called "Beckett the Bucket," they informed me that I was "acting  like a professor; thinking too much about it." So we decided to risk our little Beckett being called a bucket. But that is just an aside to what the post is really about.

You probably have seen the preview for the new movie "The Bucket List." I am so ahead of the times that just hours before I saw that preview, I was reading the Christmas-book-ornament our friend Monica gave us a couple of years ago. Each year we write down how we have spent the Christmas season. There have been some great ones, like when we swam with the dolphins and my little sister Dani in Hawaii, when we got stuck in the biggest snow storm in Salt Lake history on our way to Monica's wedding and hiking and skiing while pregnant. Anyway all of these adventures made me think "I want to make a list of all the ways I want to spend my next 50 Christmases." That afternoon I saw the "Bucket List Trailer" and got a name for my list.
