In December we took a road trip in our new Toyota RAV4 (Yes, we do realize it is an SUV, but it gets better gas milage than a minivan, which we could not yet stomach owning since we've been parents less than four months, fits into our garage, looks cute and still seats seven. We had to compromise between Bruce's dream car--the prius, and Jeanne's dream car, the Volvo XC 70). This roadtrip was to visit our three sets of friends: Sari, William and their one-week old daughter Chandy (wh0 was amazing), Elisabeth, Travis & their 4-month old Nathaniel (who is bound by his height for the NBA) and then, David, Melora, Silas and Justin. David, our dear friend and former landlord, took our engagement photos, photographed our wedding. So to keep up that tradition, he also took the picture we enclosed with our christmas card.
In addition he took this pictures of Beckett. Of all the pictures we have of him, I feel that this one more accurately reflects the way he looks. It is a classic Beckett look with glittering eyes and batting eyelashes. When I showed the picture to our friend and birth doula Michelle L'Esperance she declared "Oh, Jeanne, what sweetness! Not only is he gorgeous, but the look of adoration on his face is beautiful....!"

I am so proud of you joining the blog. That picture of Beckett is so beautiful. He is a gorgeous baby. We had so much fun with you here...we should make it an annual tradition.
